I'm blonde, 5'2", measurements..............Ok, just joking!
I love music, I LOVE bass, I love my piano, I love singing.
I go out running on 10-12km runs several times a week, but don't love it - but I do love food, which is why I have to run - gotta keep those blaardy calories from creeping up on me!
I'm a Mum to 4 kids - 2 boys, 2 girls and married to John - who bought me my first bass - how cool was that for a Christmas present?
I love my computer - that's why I'm here - how else would I have found the place? I've got a fantastic iMac with Garage Band on, which I'm just starting to learn about. Ouuuch my brain!! Lol!
I'm on my 3rd bass now - would have loved to have kept my others, but I needed the money, and well, you can only play one at a time anyway! Although if I had more money, I would probably have a couple more hanging around :-)
I've got an Ibanez 505 SR. I just love it to death! Love my 5 strings too, although it's kinda heavy when you've been playing it for a couple of hours!
I've got a Gallien-Krueger 1001RBII amp - love it death also, and a Warwick 411 pro cab. My family hate it - and I think my neighbours might too - lol! This house just doesn't have good enough insulation I guess- hahaha!
I've also got a very nice keyboard - a Roland RD700sx. Well, it's a stage piano really. It sounds amazing, although I confess that some of the gizmo's on it are probably wasted on me - I'm not very technically minded. Although I did manage to plug it into the iMac the other day and record some stuff - wooohooo!
No particular influences - I like so many different types of music, and so many different musicians. It's really whatever mood I'm in at the time that influences me to pick up my bass and try something new.
I do have to confess to being a Rock chick at heart though. I like Pop too, a bit of Punk, a bit of Metal. Even classical stuff when I'm in the mood.
I do NOT like country, or jazz though - I can appreciate good musicians who play these well, but I wouldn't choose to pay to hear it.
Have been playing in different church bands for a very long time - on keyboards for years, then after I picked up the bass I found myself playing that instead, although I am sometimes required to play keys. Given the choice though - it would be bass every time! I have also played a few times in a friends band, and sometimes get together to jam with friends - blues, rock etc.
I work as a Salesperson in a Christian music/bookstore. It's ok - I would rather be a princess and be at home doing what I want when I want - but life's not like that - *sniff*.
