i have much interest in BassIAB but not time at the moment.....worked 10 hours days last 2 weeks and having to work 3rd shift this week....soon as it is over i will be in here and making a BassIAB submission
Hi Greg. I'm glad you dropped in. I was beginning to think I was the only one left here. If I start replying to my own posts I'll know I finally cracked....
I'm looking forward to hearing your BassIAB submission. I really want to hear another take on it. It's great to try playing something someone else came up with instead of my own line. It helps break me out of any creative rut.
a cheap way out is to get an adapter at radio shack or other electronics store to convert your basses 1/4 inch jack to the 1/8 size on the line in of your pc....then use something like audacity (which is free) to record ....
I agree with Greg. The easiest way to record is to plug directly into the PC soundcard. There are some documents around that explain how to do this. Let me know if you want me to point you to some of them.
If you could that would be fantastic. I did not know I could plug directly into the PC. I was going to buy the stuff to mic my cabninets, but with my kids around there is always too much noise going on to record like that.
I'm here too. I just have to use a flashlight to use my computer. Shoot me a PM with your email address. If you don't mind. I need to ask a favor of you.
THanks.

We still love you and BassIAB, Paul. Just busy first-of-semester days here. I'm kind of excited about it, in fact, because iWord '09 should arrive today, which includes the latest version of GarageBand, which I intend to teach myself by recording a track for this project. I'm a huge Ableton Live fan, but GB is pretty cool, too. And I want to learn more about it.
LOL! Well it's just the site had no responses at all for a week. I wasn't sure if anyone was left here. I was starting to think I'd scared everyone away. hahahaha
I hope you like the GarageBand. I've heard good things about it.
i would love to try it myself....i guess i need to try and find an older copy of it that will run on OSX 10.3.9 since that is what my G4 has on it....i would upgrade further but my digi001 interface only supports up to that version.
I'm hoping to really get to grips with it soon when the kids go back to school and stop hogging the computer! I've got the book "Garage Band for Dummies" so how hard can it be? Hmmmmmm - Lol!
I still float on by from time to time but other commitments are keeping me busy, especially the Lil' Monsters. ;)

WOW! How do you keep from killing a woman in a relationship if you don't drink? I'm pretty sure I would be doing life in prison if I didn't have my Heineken....LOL!
