Been MIA - Pete

Hi Folks... I have been MIA from BP for a long time. A lot has happened, but in general, my life is still the same.

I sold my Yamaha, SX, and Line6 basses. I bought and sold an Ashbory bass in 2 weeks. I bought a 1966 Ampeg AEB-1 which I've wanted for 30 years. I'm not disappointed. Plus I bought a 1972 Gibson EB-0 that needed some work. It's almost finished. I found a bridge cover and a picguard that match its year. I also have a bid on the original tuners for this bass which I believe I'll win. I've cleaned her up and bought some flats as well. It is going to be exactly like the first name brand bass I ever bough new. I bought a 1972 EB-0 new at 17. It was stolen while I was in the Navy. In about two weeks this one will be perfect... with 36 years of wear ;)

My son started his senior year of HS yesterday. He's playing guitar in the Jazz Band. I can't believe how well he plays guitar now. He certainly knows more than I do.

We bought some land to build a house by a lake but had to get the contract voided and our money returned when we found a problem with the land that the owner didn't disclose. Meanwhile, we are finishing up the last of the items in our current house to put it on the market. New counter-tops are coming along with new hardwood and tile floors, plus new carpet upstairs.

I'm still working at the same place... 8 1/2 years to go :)

That's about it.. I'm still chugging along. My bike has 13,500 miles on it now in just 16 months. That motorcycle has been the best stress reliever I've ever had... except when nobody is home but me and I can crank up a bass ;)

I'll be lurking and posting again. Glad to see BP is doing well... great job Wheat.

Nice to see you drop in

Nice to see you drop in Pete. Sounds like you've got a lot going on. It's good to hear your Gibson is coming along well. Can't wait to see some pics when it's finished.

Yeah, a few corpses and some toxic pollutants can really be a deal breaker sometimes. ;)
