I came across this yesterday and it killed me! It's really good to see someone fighting back against corporate bullies like Monster.
If some of these companies would spend more money on innovating products and less on their legal departments, we'd be in better shape.

I always wish they'd spend
I always wish they'd spend more on research than marketing as well. Sure you need to tell the consumer about your product but many companies these days seem to think it's cheaper to convince you the product is good than to actually make it good.
But I sure agree that there should be less spent on litigation too.

Never used Monster. The worst cables I've ever used were some really nice looking ones from Fender.

That's hilarious! I do use monster cables for my home system but not for my bass. I like seeing a big company outwitted.

When I bought an expensive Planet Waves cable, I was very skeptical about the 'Lifetime Warranty', but when I took the broken cable back to a different shop more than a year later, with no proof of purchase, they replaced it immediatley.

That letter is hugely loooooooooonnnnnng. Musta been a very slow day at his shop. Given that he points out that even a 10cents-per-connector judgement against himself doesn't net the complainant a whole $4-figger reward, I guess there must be a whole lotta slow days at the shop.
