That's cool, B#, I'd been
That's cool, B#, I'd been wondering about these. I know people who like the old CD-based one (Pete? Don't you have one), but I was curious about the mp3-based one. I see an FX and a loop button. It is easy to set loop points? What FX does it contain? Are they any good?

Haven't played with the FX
Haven't played with the FX or loop yet, if it's like my old CD-BT I'll get around to reading the manual in a couple of years! LOL
I use it more to stay fresh with our set list and learn new material - I'd say I probably use less than half the functions.

Stinking Exchange Rate
Man... the exchange rate between Canada and the US is like giving every Canadian a 40% raise LOL
I don't use my trainer as much as I used to. I think this new one is a great idea for any bass player in a band. Put your entire set list on the thing and then use the MP3 trainer to rehearse... very cool B#
With shipping and the sales
With shipping and the sales taxes collected by the post office it came to under C$200. At Long & McQuade they go for $230 plus taxes (total approx $260)
I've only got about 40 songs on it so far, it's supposed to hold around 240 and no more fiddling with CDs. The only thing with navigating the MP3 files is that some display the song title and some don't even thoughth they're all ripped from my CDs and have correct file names etc - a pretty minor compaint.

no song names on the trainer....
most devices look at the ID3 tag rather than the name for the song info....there are software to edit these easily but even windows will do it without much effort.....right click the file.....choose properties....then on the properties box that comes up click the summary tag then click the advanced button on that...fill in the appropriate info there and it should show up fine on your trainer.....
