Wheat,
I love the design, but what about the practicality of getting a logo/design that complex on to a shirt? Can it be done in a cost effective way? Just asking.
Well, Spreadshirt couldn't do it. It's too complex for their print-on-demand process (i.e. digital printing). But I have some quality concerns about digital printing in general. So I've started to look at having them actually screen printed, which will up the quality quite a bit. But that also means there will be some up-front costs for yours truly. I'll have to make sure I can sell enough to break even. But it does give me a lot more pricing flexibility, as the online places charge more just for the shirts.
And it really leaves me with two options: 1) use something like PrintMojo, as they can handle the printing and the order processing, or 2) print them up locally and use PayPal for the order processing.
#2 means I'll need to do the shipping and handling of each order myself, which isn't a terribly big deal, as I'd just shove them into a padded mailer and hit the post-office on my lunch break. :) If I started to get a ton of orders, I'd be screwed, though.
I like it, but would the little logo on the end of the headstock be a trademarked thing since it is on the Fender headstocks? Maybe it could say something clever about Dags.

The "Contoured body" part could stay where it normally is in the logo and the "nipples optional" part could go around the outside where the other part is located.

good one Bo, and it would be an in joke that only a few bass players who are in the know about the AB fiasco would appreciate. We'd be a select band of bass brothers.
Just Imagine the air throbbing with a band of bassists!! It'd rattle your gonads for sure.
Maybe we'll just black it out or add a star there or something. I'll pitch it to Benny. He's really creative and is sure to come up with something cool to put there.
I don't wish to brag at all, because as you are all aware I am a very humble, pure person, but having been a professional diver for half my life [and REALLY DID do it deeper] AND also a bass player, I hereby lay my claim to be the deepest double doer at BP and/or AB.
Let me know when you have a price for them. Were you thinking of kids sizes too (YL etc)? I know my kids would get a kick out of having a completely unique shirt like that.
Should have some pricing details for you soon. As for sizes, they only do adult sizes. Small is the smallest. They go up to like XXXXL, but those cost more to print, so I'm not bothering with those. Thought I could do one or two if any of you are gangsta enough to need one.

Thanks, Hazz. Benny and I shot ideas back and forth via email. He's great to work with. I got him to do some shirts for the place where I used to work and they were really happy with his designs.
GIG SHIRT BABY! I already have my scissors out ready to hack off the sleeves. Is it possible to get "Slow Down!" put on the back as my back is normally facing the drummer....LOL!

Funny thing: doing the pricing on these, I discovered that, most of the time, sleeveless shirts are more expensive than the regular sort. Chopping them up with scissors is much more rock and roll, I think.
That's a funny idea about the back! It really is work when you find yourself having to be the tempo police as well as the bassist. But it just makes it that much sweeter when you find yourself playing with a drummer whose timing is dead on.
Cool, Eddie. I'm finalizing details and will put putting my order in this week. Then it will take a week or two for them to be printed. Then we're in business.

suggestion - hopefully constructive
Wheat,
another option could be to simplify the design while retaining the basic concept. - to ease printing feasability/costs I mean.
