After about two days of work last week and some time to make a few adjustments, the Samick is a go. It sounds great and I'm very happy. The tone is very ballsy and warm. The EMG Selects really pack a nice whollop and are good for finger style, slap, and pick work.

Thanks, man. It was much easier this time around. Not so much guesswork as with the Spector.
It is kind of satisfying knowing that I can do it. Heck, maybe someday I can get into more extensive modding. For example, I just found a shock proof circuit earlier today which involves running a capacitor and resistor in parallel to ground. Very interesting--and quite possibly a life saver.
