I would like to post a few pictures in the gear forum,more specifically in the Plectrums and picks section. How can I do this??

You need to have them hosted
You need to have them hosted on an outside site and then link to them.
Unless Wheat has changed things as I have been gone for a small bit.

It is as Hazz said. For now,
It is as Hazz said. For now, at least, you need to host them with Flickr or Photobucket or whatever and embed or link them here. I'd have to check the admin options to see if there's support for images as attachments to posts. (There probably is, or is an extension that provides the same.)
