We did the jam last night. The chemistry was tremendous. After a two hour practice on Sunday and a five minute tune up on Monday night, we took the stage and brought the thunder. Big fun!
Mr BoBo is back in the mix and bringin' da thunder!!!
Congratulations Bo, hope it works out for a long while.

Thanks Dave. I'm really looking forward to getting a good mix of people together. However, things seem to be falling apart already. The singer is pissed at the guitarist who has already said that he is "running the show" (and I've heard these words out of his mouth as well). Anyway, we'll see. If I have to, I'll pull rank. I'm old and experienced so maybe he'll listen to an old man.
The bottom line; two rehearsals and three tunes? You have got to be kidding me. The songs we're doing are not that hard and we've had no new tunes in two practices. We're "perfecting" the three we have. I'd actually just like to have at least 5-6 solid tunes right now. With the talent we have, I'd think we would at least be that far. Maybe my expectations are too high.

Oh God, not the ego thing already! I'm lucky, all the guys in my band are pretty passive save one (me). They're married so they are used to being dominated. When I bark they listen....LOL!
I don't think your expectations are too high at all. When I first hooked up with the guys in Steel we got songs together pretty quick. We were giggin' in no time. Even if you just learn two songs a week you can throw a set together in no time.
I hope it works out for you! You might end up having to straighten these guys out!
I hope the potential for a power struggle dissipates. I'd like to think that whoever has the natural ability should be "running the show" (unless you're all hired sidemen for some artistic genius). Singers and guitarists. If bands consisted only of drummers and bassists, the world would be a better place. :)
Yeah well, it took me having surgery, a flu and then bronchitis for you to catch me. Hahahahaha.
Here have a cookie .....
